After going apple picking for only the second time (my first was when I was in first grade with school), I had more apples than I could eat. I decided to try baking and I actually surprised myself because it turned out so well. I thought I would share. Scroll down for my easy proof apple pie that is perfect to make for Thanksgiving.
I used Pillsbury Pie Crust which tasted so good and definitely makes pie making easier
Slice 6 apples
1 cup of flour
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of butter (I use smart balance but any butter will do)
Add ground cinnamon (how much you want)
place your apple mixture in the pie crust dish
weave the strips you cut out in an "over and under" pattern
baking temperature and duration can be found on your pie crust box
Serve and top with vanilla ice cream. ENJOY!
